Action Research Partners staff has experience working with stakeholders in child welfare, social services, juvenile justice, and criminal justice providing the following services:

Research, analysis and program evaluation

We use rigorous social science methods to conduct exploratory research, analyze policies and systems, and evaluate programs. Action Research tailors its work to the capacities and interests of our partners with the aim of producing results that program staff and funders can use to assess and improve services.

Research consulting

Action Research helps organizations develop, design and manage research.  Our staff sit on various advisory boards, review proposals, and provide expert advice on research design, methodology and content.  We bring a sophisticated understanding of the risks and rewards of research and how to engage with third party research organizations.  This includes expertise in creating requests for proposals, monitoring the conduct of contract research, assessing findings, and developing dissemination strategies.

Performance measurement and continuous quality improvement

Action Research helps individual programs and organizations set up performance measurement systems that allow managers and staff to monitor their progress and improve their services. We assist organizations in analyzing data to improve programs and operations.
